{"start":0,"count":1,"data":[{"publicDescription":"<p>Genesis is seeking an experienced <strong>Lead Civil/Structural Designer</strong> to lead civil and structural design and drafting activities for industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects. </p>\n\n<p>The role requires strong expertise in civil and structural design for industrial facilities, including structural steel, concrete foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, platforms, access structures, and related infrastructure. </p>\n\n<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>\n\n<h3>Design Leadership and Team Coordination</h3>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Lead and coordinate the work of civil and structural designers and drafters.\n\t<li>Assign design tasks, establish priorities, and monitor progress against project schedules.\n\t<li>Review drawings, 3D models, calculations provided by engineers, and design deliverables for accuracy and completeness.\n\t<li>Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior and intermediate designers.\n\t<li>Coordinate design resources, deliverables, and interfaces across multiple projects.\n</ul>\n\n<h3>Civil and Structural Design</h3>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Lead the development of civil and structural drawings for industrial facilities, energy infrastructure, and other engineered projects.\n\t<li>Oversee structural steel layouts and details for pipe racks, equipment platforms, access platforms, stairs, ladders, handrails, and support structures.\n\t<li>Coordinate concrete foundation plans and details for process equipment, pipe supports, electrical equipment, buildings, and other industrial installations.\n\t<li>Review foundation layouts, anchor-bolt plans, reinforcing details, elevations, sections, and equipment support drawings.\n\t<li>Ensure design documents accurately reflect engineering calculations, project specifications, vendor information, and field requirements.\n\t<li>Support the preparation of grading, site layout, underground utility, and other civil drawings when required by project scope.\n</ul>\n\n<h3>Quality Assurance and Project Delivery</h3>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Perform design checks and lead interdisciplinary drawing reviews before deliverable submission.\n\t<li>Ensure compliance with applicable project requirements, AISC and ACI standards, and relevant safety regulations.\n\t<li>Manage drawing registers, deliverable schedules, revisions, and document control.\n\t<li>Support material take-offs, bills of materials, and other design documentation.\n\t<li>Monitor work quality, productivity, resource utilization, and adherence to project milestones.\n\t<li>Participate in design review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of design procedures and standards.\n</ul>\n\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent relevant education in civil, structural, or engineering design; additional qualifications are beneficial.\n\t<li>Significant experience in civil/structural design and drafting for industrial, energy, petrochemical, oil and gas, power, or infrastructure projects.\n\t<li>Demonstrated experience leading design teams and reviewing the work of other designers.\n\t<li>Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 3D structural modeling and multidisciplinary design coordination.\n\t<li>Experience with CADWorx Structure, CADWorx Plant, Autodesk Navisworks, or comparable software.\n\t<li>Knowledge of structural steel systems, concrete foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, and industrial structural detailing.\n\t<li>Working knowledge of applicable AISC, ACI, OSHA, and project-specific design standards.\n\t<li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, vendor documents, and construction requirements.\n\t<li>Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n</ul>\n\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Experience with large-scale EPC, industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.\n\t<li>Experience coordinating design deliverables across civil, structural, piping, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.\n\t<li>Familiarity with 3D model reviews, clash detection, constructability reviews, and field engineering support.\n\t<li>Experience developing design schedules, estimating design hours, and managing deliverable priorities.\n\t<li>Knowledge of document management systems and engineering design quality procedures.\n</ul>\nGenesis Staffing provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
